Mary of Bethany loves Jesus. She sits at his feet and listens. Mary brings jar of Nard to pour over Jesus’ head and she received criticism for wasting the valuable perfume. Jesus tells them to leave her alone. ”She did what she could”
Jesus said, “Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)
It is our human nature to expect to be happy in the future, after some event that we are planning, bills are paid or kids graduate. This is not positive thinking and we are denying our own happiness now by not being full of joy here in the present. Be present in your life. The best way to be joyful is to be full of gratitude for everything in your life. Even the things that bring us heartache are bringing us closer to God and our place in heaven. Happiness is a choice. Choose happiness. Have gratitude. Be Happy today!
“Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.”
Pursue love and earnestly desire the spiritual gift…….
During hard times, I find myself toiling over the injustices of the world, why are children abused, why do so many people turn their head while it goes on… we can not get bogged down by evil. We must pursue love and we must pursue it fiercely not only for ourselves but for others, we should be an example of love, fierce love for our Lord, for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:5-6
When we wonder through the world relying on our own skills the path is winding and dark, when we seek Gods glorious light our path is illuminated and we walk with him in his perfect glory.
I am creating a web-site for high school art to accommodate the home school market. I hope this will be helpful for those trying to teach their children in an unconventional environment. Conformity is stifling the creativity of our youth.
