Your journal is your personal visual learning tool. It is where your record major thoughts for your creative enlightenment. Always use lots of color and visual pictures in your art journal. I recommend taking notes in color. Your brain remembers twice as much information when your notes have been taken in color. You may add pictures and sticky notes to pages to highlight information or simply to add interest to your entry. I have linked a Pinterest post on journaling below. Please explore these to help you get an idea of some of the possibilities. They are endless!!
Happy Journaling!!

Your first journal assignment is to create a cover page on the first page. This can have your name, I recommend a contact phone number in case you leave it somewhere by accident. You will become very attached to your work. Then add visual pictures that represent things you love, things that are descriptive of you personally. See the picture below as an example from previous years.
